In order to protect students’ mental health and the educational environment, cell phones will not be used at school. Students will power off and place their cell phone in their backpack when they arrive at school and will not get it out again until school is dismissed for the day. Students may not carry their cell phone in their pockets and may not have wireless headphones. Any student who does not have a backpack will turn their cell phone into the office for the day.
We know that you may need to communicate with your student. You can always email your student via STUDENTID#@amaisd.org or you may call or come by the office, and we will deliver the information to your student. As part of our continued commitment to ensuring a safe school environment, all of our classrooms have telephones, and your student will be allowed to use the phone at appropriate times to reach you if necessary.
